Villiers, the superman from South Africa. His phenomenal performance in
the recent years has granted him a cult status but he is amazing on the
field as well. Often considered the best fielder from South Africa
after Jonty Rhodes, if you are still not sold, in World Cup 2007, he ran
out an Australian while aiming at a single stump all the while rolling
on the ground when he was throwing. With 350 plus catches and 1 stumping
he is really the best fielder right now.
2. Brendon McCullum
At number 2 we have Brendon McCullum. The New Zealander is known as much
for his flashy batting as for his flashy fielding. With him on the help
as captain, the New Zealand team got to its peak and he led the team
with his strategic decisions, batting and fielding. He often takes
impossible, gravity defying catches both from behind the wicket and in
the field. He has a total of 457 dismissals both as keeper and a fielder
to his record
3. Dwayne Bravo
At number 3 it’s none other than Dwayne Bravo. This West Indian player
is literally “the complete package”. While he is not busy hitting sixes
out of the park or taking wickets, he is usually taking one hand catches
like a boss. One of his one handed catches against Rajasthan Royals was
even nominates for best play award for an American Sports Award.
4. Glenn Maxwell
At number 4 in our list of Top 10 Cricket Fielders 2016 we have the hard
hitting sensation from Australia Glenn Maxwell. Apart from his slogs,

real asset to the team. He has taken a lot of memorable catches in the
Indian Premier League and is always a delight to watch
5. Faf du Plessis
At number 5 in our list of Top 10 Cricket Fielders 2016 we have Faf du
Plessis. Often overshadowed under the feats of his teammate Ab de
Villiers, this South African batsman is not to be overlooked. He is as
reliable on the field as in the top order and along with Ab de Villiers
forms a lethal duo both in batting and fielding. His quick reactions
enabled him to save many a boundaries in the power play overs.
6. Virat Kohli

to boundaries and his quick reflexes has been invaluable to India.
7. Keiron Pollard
At number 7 in the list of Top 10 Cricket Fielders 2016 we have West
Indian all-rounder Keiron Pollard. This towering 6 foot 6 inches
Trinidadian has used his height to use time and again in few of the most
breathtaking boundary line catches ever. Even after being explosive in
batting and bowling his quota, he still has enough energy to make runs
hard to come by for the batsman. His antics both on and off the pitches
and his performances have made him one of the most entertaining players
to watch.
8. Suresh Raina
At number 8 in our list of Top 10 Cricket Fielders 2016 we have the
stylish left-handed batsman from India, Suresh Raina. Always alert on
the field, he has been one of the factors why Indian fielding has
improved so much in the recent times. With over 150 catches in all the
formats combined, he is definitely the one to watch out on the field
9. Steven Smith
At number 9 in our list of Top 10 Cricket Fielders 2016 we have the
Australian ODI and Test captain, Steven Smith. Unlike those fielders who
are very aggressive and animated on the field, he prefers to be calm
and calculative and is often seen to take decisions that baffled the
batsman, like once when he switched from first slip to leg slip in
anticipation of a sweep shot based on the batsman’s position. Such quick
thinking at crucial times has often reaped fruits for his time.
10. Ravindra Jadeja
Starting of our list of Top 10 Cricket Fielders 2016 we have none other
than “Sir” Jadeja from India. Jadeja’s place in the squad has often been
questioned due to his rather inconsistency but there’s no denying his
talent. A bowler, who can extract turn from any pitch, is handy with the
bat and is an able fielder too. With close to 100 catches in the
International circuit, this young lad still has ways to go.
