The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board , Ehsan Mani, has announced that the centrally-contracted players of the national cricket team will be donating Rs 5 million to the government’s emergency fund to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The PCB will collect all these funds and deposit it to the government's coronavirus fund," he added.
Pakistan has recorded 1,000+ positive cases of the deadly virus, which has claimed more than 20,000 lives all over the world.

“I am fully aware like a lot of other generous people in our society, our cricketers and staff are privately supporting the local governments and various other charities by making contributions in their own ways. We are grateful to them for their valuable support,” Ehsan Mani added.

"It is the history of the cricket board that we always stand by the government in difficult times," Mani said.

The PCB chief also requested everyone on behalf of the Cricket Board to take precautionary measures seriously
